A: No, belonging to GoldTeam is absolutely free of any types of fees or charges throughout the term of your membership. All costs are met by the Providers. Q: How many GoldPoints do I get in relation to how much I spend? A: The standard rate is 1%. This means that you’ll be given 10 GoldPoints for every $1000 paid. On occasion, a Provider may offer a special rate, e.g. Double GoldPoints – being 2% of your payment. Q: How much is a GoldPoint worth? A: One GoldPoint = One Dollar to redeem for your Rewards. (e.g. every $100,000 paid to GoldTeam Providers will entitle you to purchase $1,000 worth of Rewards) Q: When are GoldPoints issued and what are the conditions? A: GoldPoints are issues on a payments basis. Your monthly account with a GoldTeam Provider must be paid in full by the end of the month following invoice to get GoldPoints. This means that GoldPoints are only paid on current balances, i.e. if you sent a cheque for $3000 but $2000 of it was payment of an overdue balance you would then only receive the GoldPoints on the payment of the current amount of $1000. Q: Where can I get GoldPoints? A: You can receive GoldPoints from any business that is an Accredited Provider with GoldTeam. More Providers are joining each week, you can ask your suppliers to consider joining to help get more GoldPoints. Q: How do I know whether a supplier or subcontractor is a GoldTeam Accredited Provider? A: A full list of Providers in your area is available on the GoldTeam website here. Also, some Providers place the GoldTeam logos on quotation forms, business cards, vehicles, etc. to let builders know that they can issue GoldPoints. Q: Can I pay by credit card and still earn GoldPoints? A: It is totally up to your Provider regarding GoldPoints on payment by credit card. The transaction fees that are charged by credit card companies may not afford GoldPoints to be forwarded, especially if using a credit card to pay your monthly account as the total costs to the Provider may be too great. Q: Do I get GoldPoints on the total amount of the payment including the GST portion? A: No, GoldPoints are issued only on the net amount paid - excluding GST. Q: What is the term of my membership? A: Membership is indefinite and can be cancelled at any time by contacting the GoldTeam office. Q: What happens to my GoldPoints if I resign my membership because I move away, close or sell my business or retire? A: Any GoldPoints held would need to be redeemed for any Reward to the value of your GoldPoints balance. Q: How often do I receive statements from GoldTeam? A: statement is emailed to members each month. Members can also check their balances via the GoldTeam website at any time by logging in using their username and password to access the account. Q: What do I do if GoldPoints that I should have received don’t appear on my GoldPoints account? A: Members need to contact their supplier/subcontractor to correct the problem. This service is also available via the website [here].The GoldPoints will then be credited to your GoldPoints account and appear on your GoldPoints Statement the following month. Q: When can I begin to exchange GoldPoints for Rewards? A: Anytime. Q: What Rewards can I receive with my GoldPoints? A: Absolutely anything. If it can be bought, and you have enough GoldPoints, then it’s available. This allows you to shop around for the very best deal. Because GoldTeam is exclusively building-industry related, its membership is small enough to offer personalised, flexible arrangements. Q: How do I redeem GoldPoints for Rewards? A: Just choose whatever you want, from any retailer, and then arrange payment for it via the website [here]. This allows you to shop around for the very best deal. You can take delivery as soon as GoldTeam pays the Rewards Supplier for the goods or service ordered. Q: If I choose to redeem my GoldPoints to purchase a Reward item at an Accredited Provider, will I then receive GoldPoints from them for that purchase? A: Yes. It’s treated the same as any other purchase/payment. Q: Do GoldPoints expire after certain periods of time? A: No. GoldPoints retain its original value and can be redeemed in full at any time. Q: How will the Provider know that I am a Member of the GoldTeam? A: Providers can access Member lists from the GoldTeam website and flag Members in their accounting system to automatically identify and allocate GoldPoints. Q: Are funds to the value of my GoldPoints held by GoldTeam? A: No. The Providers retain the funds in their accounts and GoldTeam bill them for the value of the Member’s GoldPoints when a Member makes a Rewards purchase. It’s up to the Providers to forward the funds to GoldTeam in order to make payment for the Rewards item. This process may occasionally cause a short delay in arranging Rewards purchases. The benefit is that this method makes it more attractive for your suppliers to join and remain actively involved as suppliers do not have to pay the value of Members GoldPoints upfront. Q: What if a GoldTeam supplier resigns from the GoldTeam programme? A: GoldPoints will remain available to the Members as the liability for the Provider to pay these amounts remains ongoing. Q: What happens if a GoldTeam supplier closes down? A: If the Provider is financially solvent, then it is likely that the value of GoldPoints will be paid directly to the Members the business had dealt with – at the sole discretion of the Provider. If the Provider is insolvent, then it would be unlikely that the GoldPoints held with that Provider would be redeemable.
